Featured Stories » Fixing Inverted Nipples

NippleRepairRene is a 32 year who has always been self conscious about having a nipple that points inward instead of out. An inverted nipple made it so she was not able to breast feed on that side with her two kids. Sometimes her two breasts looked different in sweaters because of the difference in projection.

Under local anesthesia, small incisions were made at the base of the nipple and the constricting ducts were released to allow the nipple to rest in its normal anatomic position. The nipple was supported to allow healing in a projecting place.

Rene has healed well and shows no sign of surgery. The fix was easier than she had imagined.
