How long should someone stay with me after surgery?

You are required to have someone drive you home and stay with you 24 hours after surgery. You will also need a ride to our office the following day for the post-op visit. It is illegal to drive a vehicle if you are under the influence of a narcotic pain medication.

What should I bring to surgery?

If you are having breast surgery, liposuction, or an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), bring your post-operative garment with you. If your surgery is at Seattle Surgery Center or Swedish you may need your picture ID, insurance information (if applicable), or credit card.

Do not bring jewelry or valuables to your surgery.

What should I wear?

If you are having breast surgery, liposuction, or an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), wear loose-fitting clothing. The top should zip or button down the front. Do not wear pantyhose, tight fitting pants, pullover tops or boots.
